Many a slip

This was a weekend of the usual progress - one step forward, several steps to the side, gently spinning in circles and then taking another step in a totally different direction!

Friday night, SWMBO said, don't make the second bookcase for my room yet, you need bookshelves for your study! So that welcome news reorganised the projected work plan for the weekend.

The bookshelves are very simple - weld up ladder frames from 10mm square steel rod and lay shelves on them. However, this is my first go at welding and the shelves will be made out of blockboard (which will need to have the end grain filled with Timbermate) which I will sparay brilliant white with lacquer.
